I am here to make a few new friends, male or female, to just hang out with and do things with when bored and have nothing more exciting to do.

I was born and raised in Oregon. I've been to several of the states around the nation, and while they all have their own beauty and charm, there is nothing quite like 'home'. I have three children, all grown (minus one... keep reading), and three grandchildren (one biologically). I am in "limbo" at the moment... or you can say, at a crossroads in life and am seeing what direction it will take me.

I'm not wanting a committed relationship at this time. I am dealing with the death of my 19 year old son who was killed in an auto accident last year. I am by no means a nut case, and think I have done very well under the circumstances... I would just like to make sure that when I do get serious with someone again, that I'm doing so with a clear head and not one that is 'lonely' and just filling a hole.I am normally a strong willed, stubborn and very opinionated person. I am not a controller, but do enjoy an environment that has control and is not full of tension and chaos. I enjoy using my head whenever possible (not saying that it always works the best!) I was very much a Tom boy growing up and get along better with males than females. I'm not afraid to bait my own hook, gut my own fish, skin my own rabbits, etc. I don't freak out if I break a nail (for to long), and I don't mind getting dirty when appropriate. I can also be very feminine and can blend in well with the aristocrats and act very much the 'lady'. In other words, I learned how to glean the best of both worlds!

I have no desire to stay permanently away from my children and grandchild... however, I LOVEEEEEE to travel and have done a fair amount. Still, home base is near my family in Central Oregon. I have property there and can go home anytime.
Like so many of you, I've had my failures and nightmare stories of marriages and online dating. If I come across as being "skeptical", I'm sorry (especially in the forums). I certainly do not intend to sound that way. At the same time, try not to read into my words something that isn't there.

Oh yes, I thought I should add that I do have three tattoos. I know some people are turned off by them, so I'm letting you know up front. They are in good taste and in places easily hidden. Heck, I forget I have them! I am no grand prize, nor am I flawless, but for someone out there, with Gods guidance, I will be perfect in their eyes. Should I never find that "person".... that's okay too.
