Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als
I want to live in the moment, look to the future, and let go of the past. I've recently moved to Southern California and I'm still feeling overwhelmed. Mainly because there are entirely too many people on the road, and quite possibly, too many people period. I'm from Northern Michigan, but that's not to mean the Upper Peninsula, just further up the fingers on the mitten. I miss the spaceousness and quiet, not to mention all the great outdoor activities like hunting. Before moving here in January I spent the longest year of my life in the Texas heat. The weather and plant life here is simply beautiful in comparison. Sadly I haven't had a chance to go anywhere or see anything... but I'm ready to explore!
I love sports. Football is my favorite (the NFL is the only football there really is). Although I'll watch any team play, I bleed cheese so don't get it twisted! I have to have music in my life, especially rock and roll. I love a good concert. I just can't handle country... it hurts me. However, my favorite sound in the world is absurdly loud pipes on a Harley (maybe it's because it reminds me of how loud I am). I haven't been for a ride in a couple years now and it's killing me. One of our neighbors has a Harley and it brings a tear to my eye everytime I hear it roll past the house.
I'm going to be honest, I really want to be spoiled for once. I've went my whole life never having been, and I'd really like to see what it's like. I'm not saying I want diamonds on a first date, but I don't want drive through either. What I mean is, the fact that I've never had a surprise of any kind, or something planned just for me, sucks. I've never received flowers just because. I've never been "wined and dined." I want to go to new and exciting places and have new and exciting experiences! Is that too much to ask for?
I love to bake, and I don't want to brag... but I will. My pies are excellent. Every day cooking on the other hand, I'm not crazy about it, but I'm good at it. I've spent so many years caring for others, that I'd really love to take a break and focus on taking care of me for once. I feel like I hardly have any time to, but it's gotten to the point that I'm going to make time. I don't know anyone out here but my children and grandchildren, so I'd love the opportunity to get out and just be KAREN!
