Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als

Describe myself, my personality??!! Ummm. Well a good clue is to look at what I’ve been up to in the last 18 months.

I found myself questioning life, the usual, what’s it all about, kept coming to the same conclusion, life is too short. I’d previously run my own business then through various twists found myself working between Reading and London with all the associated pressures. I’d also brought up my two kids, solo but they were flying the nest in different ways. Time to break the conditioning of life and live for me.

So I gave up the big job, rented my house out, put my belongings into storage and moved onto my boat. I took off for a solo sail across to Ireland for 3 months. Came back and qualified as an RYA Cruising Instructor. Skippered for the Visually Blind Sailing Association. Spent 3 months helping the National Trust on an eco house build. Taught sailing, delivered yachts to the Canaries, Med and France. Rode my motorbike to Turkey and back. Now working part time in a start up marine training business back in my old role of sales and marketing.

I’ve run the London Marathon twice, dived the oceans from the Arctic to the Caribbean (I’m a PADI Instructor). Travelled widely. Renovated my house (now sold) So if you’ve not worked it out yet I’d describe my personality as an adventurous achiever. And I’m not looking at stopping anytime soon.
