I'm a semi-retired Ship Captain, I only sail coastal US waters these days. No more long overseas runs for me. I'm usually at home a couple weeks a month. I am looking forward to being fully retired. I'm VERY single, secure and independent. I'm content with just being alone with me which means I'm not going to be putting pressure on anyone to make me happy or feel whole. I'm already happy and I already feel whole. If you are thinking at this point, “This guy is a loner.” You are merely missing my point. If you have been in a relationship where your partner depended on you for EVERYTHING, then you understand. I do believe however that to find that special someone, soul mate, lover and best friend would be very special, something I would treasure. I enjoy Harleys, fast and sporty cars, classic trucks, outdoor sports especially racing. I enjoy working with my hands and figuring things out on my own. I rarely hire anyone to do anything for me. I’m into riding my bike, taking good care of my 2 dogs (one is a Great Dane and the other a mutt). I enjoy good movies, music, eating out, bike rallies, car shows, casino’s and just having fun. I love trips to the mountains, ANY mountains! I equally enjoy quite times at home and being with friends and family. I have the best of both worlds concerning my family and friends; they are one of the same with me. I also enjoy just being alone at times. I am not into perfection, being perfect just robs people of good times. I’m more likely to wake up and say, “Hey, let’s take a trip!” instead of spending a week on the internet looking for the best prices, where to go, etc. Acting on impulse keeps us young at heart. Planning out things is just too stressful, I don’t do drama or stress very well especially since it is not at all required to live happy, useful and whole. I’m a kid at heart and I care and love deeply.

I'm not going into the romantic dinner followed by a late night walk on the beach thing. Seems everyone says that but few actually do it. Sure, that would be great with the right person but it is a planned event and since it's the first date I think it's important to just let the vibes take us where they lead us. I think an evening dressed casual would be a good start, followed by a cup of coffee, some light talk, and a joint decision on what to do next is a fitting first date. It could lead to a night ride on a Harley, a swift ride to a casino, or simply sitting around a fire...who knows, who cares, as long as it's enjoyable for both.

I'd like to run my bike from the south most part of California to the North most part, taking the coast road all the way up.

Openminded, sincere and trustworthy is a plus, duh! Everyone has a past, some not so nice either. I like it when someone lives in the "now" and realizes the past is just that, THE PAST! I suppose everyone has some baggage as well, I admire the ones that realize their baggage is their baggage, it does not belong to me. Last but not least, the fastest way to leave my life is bring one ounce of drama into it.
