A little about me...
Widowed after 28 years of marriage. I'm a slender white female who is blessed with a metabolism that lets me burn off everything I eat, so I don't do extra exercise; I'm not into sports or many outdoors activities, but don't mind if you are; I recently re-discovered the joy of riding on the back of a motorcycle, so if you have one that’s a good thing. I’m easygoing, have a better than average sense of humor and can talk to just about anyone, don't anger easily and my family is important to me. I love Las Vegas, slot machines and play some Texas Hold Em - I enjoy a live band and would like to learn to country dance; flea markets and garage sales are fun but not to excess, not much of a mall person. I'm not high maintenance, above average intelligence (I think), caring, honest and upfront with the people in my life. I like being at home, love reading, needlecrafts, jigsaw puzzles, time on the computer. Not a fan of prejudice for no reason, bad jokes at someone else's expense or people that always have to be right or use verbal abuse or bullying to get their way. I was a bookkeeper for over 30 years and have done apartment/property management, legal secretary, cashier, bartender - a little bit of everything.
What I’m looking for in a partner …
I am looking for a casual/serious but committed relationship - looking for that special someone to sweep me off my feet and show me romance isn't dead. Friendship would be a good place to start and we can go from there. I would like someone easygoing, laid back but not lazy, not quick to anger, someone who can listen and communicate, happy to spend quiet evenings at home or doing something we both enjoy. I want someone to hold hands with, who's not afraid to show affection and be a best friend. Oh and definitely a romantic - need that romance in my life. If you can't get your point across or communicate using "big boy" words instead of swearing/foul language - I don't want to hear what you have to say. I’m not looking for a scammer

I like American food - steak, burgers, etc. and usually don't eat anything I can't pronounce or recognize. I read suspense books, self-help when necessary, and usually have more than one book going at a time. I always read "instructions". Varied music interests but NO rap, classical or opera; Varied movie interest but NO sci-fi, horror or vampire. Given a choice I would eat dessert first and can't live without my chocolate or coffee. DON’T CONTACT ME - if you’re not a smoker or can’t tolerate it (trying to quit, but make no promises) or if you’re not from the local area. I will not respond to profiles without pictures.
