I am retired. If your looking for someone to "travel the world with" or "upscale dining" then you probably want to go on looking. I am a simple kind of person. Would like to find someone that enjoys "sitting together with popcorn & a soda watching a movie", "going for a bike (motorcycle) ride to where ever the road leads and enjoying a nice lunch/dinner" or Clearwater Beach and enjoying each others company. I like a simple non-rushed life with time to appreciate the person you're with. I don't drink other than maybe a beer or two with a burger and definitely no drugs. Don't really like crowds or "the bar scene" but do enjoy small gatherings. I am recent transplant from NJ.
Respect, patience, understanding, compassion, flexibility, honesty and compromise, sometimes even "surrenders" are "musts" and they are two-way streets. Even when people are only friends these concepts must be understood and practiced. Yes, sometimes I think we all, on occasion, need an "it's okay" or a "we'll find a way", an "I understand".
[b]Reality Check:[/b] I am not going jogging, skydiving, maybe even not even the gym. I am not 21. I try to maintain a level of fitness but I won't be entering a wrestling ring anytime in the near or distant future. I want to watch a wave roll in, read a good book, go to a movie, watch a football game, cook a meal, ride two hundred miles just to enjoy the ride or a dozen other activities. But really, my tree climbing days are over. Preferably you are a mix of day dreamer, stability and craziness.
I read a lot of profiles of ladies looking for their "one". I see dancing, gym, bicycle riding, kayaking, boating, scuba, snorkeling, horseback riding, dining out, theater, yoga, hiking, volunteer work, traveling, etc. Sounds like your week is full. Sorry but I can't keep up. Besides, you sound too busy to have time for me. Doesn't anyone slow down and simply enjoy life, just sit and watch the seagulls fly or is the drive to seek constant stimulation and entertainment so ingrained that some people just cannot slow down. Is everyone so busy "working in the garden" and not taking the time to "stop and smell the flowers"?
Me? Today I awoke, I might go for a motorcycle ride, might go to the beach, I might just read a book or watch TV, I might do any number of things or I might do nothing. I might just go watch some birds.
Just like to keep things honest, simple and aboveboard. Let's chat and maybe find something, even if just a new friend.
