I Would Describe Myself As

I am a middle age woman who on some days, still feels 18 inside. I love to laugh, to learn and to love. I have been a nurse for the past 31 years and most of those years were spent in the acute care setting. However, recently I made a big change in my career and became a Hospice nurse which has changed completely my way of thinking and living day to day. Every day is a gift.

We all live in our own bubble in life. My bubble burst 3 years ago and my life has taken a 180 degree turn. Through this, I have become stronger, more fearless and more aware of other people's plights. Some awesome people have entered my life in the past 3 years that I would never have met if my bubble had not burst and so for that I am grateful. So now I have a new beginning and a new perception of what happiness really is.

I love good conversation, humor and intelligence. I love to read, play board games especially scrabble and cooking. I'm always trying new recipes. I plant a small vegetable garden every year and have a very sweet Australian Shepherd. I love to go on motorcycle rides and I support all Veteran causes. Not really big on wine but I like cold beer. I like 60's, 70's and 80's music and my daughters have even gotten me to like some country tunes.

I am far from perfect, can be stubborn at times but am also the type that tears up watching Hallmark commercials.

I am in the process of rebuilding my life, this time better and happier than the one I have let go of. Am looking for a friend/companion to join me, would like to go slow and see what happens.
