I was born, raised and have lived exclusively in Cal until late last year. After losing my long-time Lady Love to illness, I moved to Fl with my killer Chihuahua, mainly to be near family (It certainly wasn't to experience the Summer humidity here!). When I purchased this little 6 week old Mexican ball of lightning, I had no intentions of having ANY dog, let alone a little Chihuahua! I had originally bought her for my Lady, who had been nearly housebound at the time. I had no thoughts that I would be THE one that she would take to, and we have been stuck with one another ever since! Actually, she has really helped me through some tough times and now I don't know what I'd do without her. She tries to not let me go anywhere without her, especially if it's on my bike. She literally has been riding "B**CH" since she was two months old. Suffice it to say that I have never been so loved and adored in my life, by human or animal! As for me, I was born in Yosemite, raised in SoCal and then moved to a Sierra-Nevada foothill community in NoCal where I had lived for the past quite a few years before coming here. For most of my working life I've been in sales/management, but this doesn't mean that I haven't pursued other avenues in the name of survival or passion! As for "passion", it sometimes came out bass-ackwards. For example, after I moved from the LA area to an area some 500 miles North of Hollywood, a certain chain of events caused me to begin trying to break into Films/TV. (Kinda Weird, huh?) Well, I never did make it big in entertainment but I had one Helluva great time pursing it, attending acting workshops, getting an agent, going on lots of auditions, getting involved with numerous films and doing local and regional commercials and industrial videos. In this short 5 year span I even did a play where a nice guy like me made the stretch to being the play's villain! It was great fun, although in the end I did lose the sword fight to the hero, of course. Oh Well! Coming from a family that was artistically inclined, I even tried painting, mostly acrylic on canvas. I never had the patience for waiting for oils to dry. I did some paintings of Marilyn Monroe to enter into a competition that was sponsored by the Marilyn's Children foundation in Las Vegas. The winner was to have their work featured on the label of a limited edition bottle of Marilyn Monroe Champagne. I placed 2nd and had mine featured on a t-shirt that was worn during the Annual Marilyn Walk of Fame in Hollywood. I received a bottle of Champagne and passes to the event. I couldn't attend because I had to work.. Oh Well again! "OK, that's great." you might be saying "but what are you up to nowadays?" Well, admittedly, not much. I've been working part-time with my Bro-in-Law who owns a small company in Clearwater. Most of the rest of the time I've been at my other Sister's 2 acre property in Springhill trying to help her fix it up. With what time I have left I ride about, familiarizing myself with this part of Fl. Before I moved from Cal I had to sell my 2001 Custom FXSTD Softail Deuce. I loved this bike but because of the circumstances I had no choice. here's another "Oh Well" one more time! At least I've finally learned to never say never (I think)! When I first arrived here it seemed that all I saw were motorcycles, everywhere! I missed my ride something awful! A few months ago I had the chance to buy a bike of the same model and vintage as my "California Baby". It's not the same thing but I still love it and I am grateful to be on two wheels again! Why am I on this site? Not exactly clear on that yet. Just feeling my way around for now, I guess. I'm probably not ready for anything remotely serious just yet. I guess that eventually I would like to connect with someone of like mind and interests. At this stage in my life I am not interested in high drama. Actually, I don't think that I ever have been. Don't get me wrong. I still love having fun and trying new things!
