Okay here I go with the fourth attempt. What I have discovered in the previous three attempts is apparently I’m not witty or charming... I probably have no business on this website because as you can see in the attached photos I’m not pretty and while I’m not a broken down 62, I have lived a pretty full life and I can’t pass for 50, probably not even for 59. While I am still young at heart, usually common sense kicks in before I make youthful decisions that my body isn’t capable of pulling off. Fortunately I was able to live a lot of my adventures when I was younger. I’m not finished, I just need more recuperation time. As the old saying goes “if I’d known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself”. I enjoy traveling and while I have the time, I believe to truly be enjoyed, like most things in life, it has to be shared with someone I care about.

Against all Alaska tradition, I don’t fish because I’m not a fan of the taste (unless it’s cooked so it doesn’t taste like fish). I would rather watch wildlife than shoot it. I enjoy the taste of a good beef stake much more than any moose or caribou I’ve ever tasted, so hunting is out. I’m not a fan of camping, but I do enjoy hikes through the woods, in the jungle or along the beech. I’m a big fan of taking a shower and sleeping in a bed, indoor plumbing is a plus but not required.

I’m retired from a career in Public Safety. I enjoy traveling by motorcycle. I have one in Colorado and here in Alaska. I also try to escape to somewhere warm and tropical for a week a couple times during the Alaska winter.

Location or venue doesn’t matter. Comfortable conversation, laughing and feeling a connection. If it is a natural connection it doesn’t make any difference if it is walking the beach, having coffee or eating at a nice restaurant. If there is a connection, location, activity or venue just fades into the background.
